 My name is Jen, and I can't wait to walk alongside you on your journey back to your authentic self… back to your heart!

 

I am a newly certified Elemental Rhythm Breathwork Facilitator and a Rhodes Wellness College Life Coach. 

​

I am passionate about creating a heart-centred space where I can guide and empower fellow curiosity seekers on their journey to become their own medicine.

What I offer are simply tools that help my clients find their way back to their authentic selves. They are tools that can help calm the nervous system, to step into empowerment, embodiment, and alignment. 

 

I've felt called to be of service to others, and the most meaningful way I felt I could do that was through sharing what has helped me on my journey. I feel my purpose is to help my clients find their voice, to provide the support they need to start building the life of their dreams and to shed the things that are holding them back. Ultimately, to get "unstuck", to get out of survival mode, to stop simply going through the motions of life feeling unfulfilled, and to get into that beautiful, easeful space of being excited, fulfilled, and living their best life. 

 

I spent the bulk of my life chasing a life that left me feeling empty, that fueled my need to perfect, control, and people-please, that kept me in a regular state of anxiety and discomfort, and reaching for unhealthy means of numbing and avoiding what I was feeling.

 

I know how frustrating it feels to force yourself to fit into the mold of what society deems as success, despite your heart telling you that you're out of alignment and that what you've been striving for isn't what's best for you. To feel stuck, unfulfilled, and to have fear, shame, guilt and your inner critic riding shotgun -  holding you back from taking risks and reaching for your dreams.

 

Stay tuned for further additions to the tool kit! I am continuing to build my certifications focused primarily on Nervous System Regulation and am looking into Somatic and Polyvagal Therapies, including Cold Water Immersion.

I offer the 90-minute "Breakthrough Experience", which will take you on a journey of self-discovery. Aligning with the elements of nature and the rhythm of the music, you will listen to your body in a whole new way, one which honours your body - both your breath and your felt senses.

 

The practice of breathwork can deepen your connection to your authentic self and inner-wisdom, help quiet the mind chatter, reduce stress, release stored emotions, and bring on a deeper sense of self-love and forgiveness. The combination of intention setting, somatic movement, deep intentional breathing, guided meditation, and visualization create the magic for an experience like no other! 

 

I am so excited to take you on this journey, it is always such an honour to witness the healing that comes from individuals seeking to improve and better their mind, body, and spirit, and all through something we take for granted every day… our breath.

 

A commitment to push yourself, to stay curious and open, and to surrender to whatever comes up is all that one needs for this journey… I can't wait to work with you!

My approach to Life Coaching is to hold space for you to express and be fully seen. To act as a mirror and reflect what I'm seeing and hearing through the spoken and unspoken nuances that make you -you. I navigate through our conversations with curiosity, empathy, intuition, and of course, thought-provoking questions that help you to dig deep to unearth your truth. We then work together to lean into your strengths, challenge your limiting beliefs, and shed any conditioning that is holding you back.

 

You don't fully realize it yet, but you are beautiful, powerful, and have so much potential… you just need a friendly face to help you see what the world can already see. Coaching FAQ

What is Life Coaching? The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines Life Coaching as "partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity, and leadership."

How does Coaching differ from Counselling? The key differences between coaching and counseling are that a Coach's focus is on the present and how to shift behaviors and patterns to better their client's future. They do not have the training/education required to look at trauma sustained in the client's past, nor do they work in the area of addictions or mental health disorders, a Counsellor would have the appropriate qualifications to assist clients with these areas of focus.

What can I expect during a Coaching session? Ultimately, you are the only person with the answers to what is best for you, you may just need a little help finding them! Which essentially makes you the expert in your own life. I am not here to provide advice or solutions, but rather to partner with you and act as a mirror. What I offer is the space for curiousity-driven exploration through intuitive and empathetic listening, powerful questions, reflections, tools, and exercises - all of which help you find the answers that have been within you all along.

Why do I need to book a discovery call before booking a session? ​Safety and rapport are at the heart of Coaching, the relationship is where the magic happens. You need to feel safe enough to fully open up and share, to emote if needed and I need to feel that I can connect with you deeply enough to help you find the answers you're seeking. The Discovery call is a no-pressure opportunity to connect and see if we're a good fit before making any financial commitment.

Where will my Coaching session take place? Currently, all coaching sessions are done online via Zoom, you'll receive a Zoom link at the time you schedule your appointment. Your camera will need to be turned on as body language and facial expressions tell more of the story than just the words being spoken. It is recommended that you have a quiet comfortable space, free from distractions, where you can speak openly and authentically, headphones are a great consideration along with ensuring your device is fully charged. Along with anything else you may need to feel at ease while we chat- consider the lighting, temperature, and perhaps even grabbing a blanket or a beverage.

Breathwork FAQ

What is Breathwork? Breathwork, much like yoga and mediation, has been around for thousands of years; originating and regularly practiced in Eastern cultures. It has recently found its way into mainstream Western culture as individuals seek out natural and accessible means of managing the rising stressors they're experiencing in their increasingly demanding lives. It is an evidence-based practice of deep rhythmic breathing using various techniques that allows you to bypass the mind chatter and go straight into the subconscious. It offers a space where you no longer have to cut through the chatter, the resistance, and the barriers of the thinking mind. The brain shifts from alpha to theta brainwaves putting you into a meditative state. In this state, massive shifts can occur. The imagination and intuition are often activated, which allows new ideas and inspirations to emerge.

Who is Breathwork for? -Breathwork is for anyone who is searching for alternative ways to decrease stress and anxiety and increase their overall well-being -It is for those who desire to find a deeper spiritual connection and a deeper connection to their authentic self -Those who are tired of just surviving the day-to-day life and are ready to start living a fulfilled life In general, breathwork is for anyone wanting to achieve a greater sense of self-awareness and increase their capacity for self-healing. It also helps people work toward overall improvement in mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. There are some health contradictions to take into consideration based on your physical and mental health, so please review the mandatory Liability Waiver and speak to your doctor before booking a session.

What do I need to prepare for a Breathwork Session? It is important to have a space where you can be on your feet moving for the first 5-minutes of the session, and then able to lie down comfortably for the breathwork and meditation that follows. This could be on the floor with a yoga mat, on a couch, or on your bed. I encourage you to make the space warm and inviting, dim the lights, and perhaps light some candles. Ensure you won’t be disturbed by any family members or cell phone notifications Please position your device (laptop, cell phone, or iPad) so that I can clearly see you. I will need to coach and offer guidance and correction throughout the session; which means I need to have visibility on your nose, mouth, chest, and belly. With this being completed in an online format, please ensure your device has enough battery to last the duration of the 90-minute session. Please also have headphones, preferably wireless (or longer corded) to allow for ease in transitioning between standing/moving to lying down. We will be breathing to the beat of music so being able to hear both the music and my voice is key For added comfort, I suggest having the following nearby - a blanket, a pillow, water, and tissues. It is recommended to have an eyemask or blindfold of some kind to help you go deeper into the experience, though it’s not mandatory

What happens during a Breathwork Session? ​Your experience is unique to you and is what your body needs to do in that moment, this is just a brief list of experiences others have experienced and is not an indication of doing it right or wrong!  You may experience: -fluctuations in your body temperature -auditory or visual changes -physical sensations such as tingling, shaking, numbness, feeling heavy or weightless -Potentially even Tetany (tightening of your hands and feet), this is simply your body's way of responding to the decrease in C02 and will pass  -Emotions may bubble to the surface -Heightened anxiety or panic if this is something you suffer from
